Get into Teaching: Become a Teacher

Trinity Institute of Education works alongside the The National Institute of Teaching, over 20 partner schools and each of our Trinity MAT schools and, between them, they will help you to become the best teacher you can be. Their programme takes one year to complete and, on average, TIE have a 98% employment rate. During the one year course, you will be teaching in a placement school from the start, giving you the practical experience to feel confident in a classroom from the day you graduate. If you’d like to become a primary or secondary school teacher in just one year, check out their website to find out more information.

Get into Teaching: Partner School

Our MAT school is a partner to Trinity Institute of Education, meaning we can select one or more of their high-quality trainees for a school placement each year. As a placement school, we assist with developing our trainee’s skills in practical settings and have the option to employ them as part of our team at the end of their ITT course. The partnership allows us to shape teachers within our school, gain assistance in lessons, from high-quality trainees, while supporting the retention of ECTs in our local area. Out of the 2020 TIE trainees, 50% of them secured employment with their placement school as ECTs. This high employment rate demonstrates how valuable having a trainee under school placement can be, as half of the schools decided to retain their trainee as part of their team.
