We are really pleased to be able extend our relationship with the Calderdale and Kirklees Teaching School Hub (CKTSH) based at Shelley College and accredited to SHARE MAT. From September 2023 we will be delivering a school centred ITT provision in partnership that spans the entire West Yorkshire region through our designation as an Associate College of the brand new DfE backed flagship National Institute of Teaching.
The alignment with CKTSH is not just in the outstanding education we provide the young people of Calderdale and Kirklees but also in the outstanding provision we are able to offer for prospective ITT candidates. Together we can offer placements in well over 60 schools where the mentoring candidates will receive will be from outstanding subject and phase based specialists. Alongside this, each candidate will have a dedicated link mentor from one of our expert and vastly experienced ITT team.
The National Institute of Teaching is a school led organisation delivering programmes for the full golden thread from ITT, ECT to established teachers. We are really excited to be delivering the ITT element from September 2023 as this will draw upon input from outstanding practitioners who are school based ensuring that the course will be truly school centred in every way.
